2019 Update: Since starting this business in 2008 I am now a homeschooling mother of 4. That has become my primary focus and I have put the business on “pause” during this season of life. Therefore, I am not currently accepting appointments for portrait sessions or events at this time. Thank you for understanding!

I got my first camera when I was 8 years old. It was purple and plastic, and it—correction, I took terrible pictures. But it laid the foundation for what would become my life’s passion. My love of photography blossomed on the many national park vacations I was blessed to take with my family growing up. Then after college I had the opportunity to work as a Park Ranger Naturalist in amazing places like Grand Teton and Everglades National Parks. I spent all my free time hiking and taking literally thousands of pictures of wildlife, flowers, and gorgeous landscapes.

Because of my nature photography background, I love combining nature and portrait photography into one art, aiming to reflect the beauty of the natural environment in every portrait.

After marrying my husband Nick in 2006 and launching my business in 2008, our family has grown. We have four children: Adria (born in 2009), Elise (born in 2012), Juliet (born in 2013), and Will (born in 2016).

Other things I love:

  • Enjoying a juicy tenderloin steak
  • Curling up in a warm blanket with a good book and a kitty on my lap
  • Waking up at sunrise in the mountains
  • Relaxing in a boat on a calm northwoods lake
  • Wearing extra-comfortable pants
  • Eating salty oh-so-bad-for-me McDonald’s french fries
  • Watching anything that has the word “star” or “rings” in the title
  • Laughing hysterically
  • Playing sheepshead
  • Cooking with a friend
  • Singing loudly in my car
  • Experiencing the thrill at Lambeau Field
  • Spending as much time as I can with my family
  • Living each day for Jesus
