Best of 2010: The Best of the Rest

I conclude my Best of 2010 series with a catch-all “The Best of the Rest” post.  Not all my portraits from this past year fit nicely into a category, but they were still important and so much fun!  I enjoyed shooting musicians, models, engaged couples, and wedding receptions and below are my 10 favorite images from this unique group of clients.  Enjoy!!

Ashley {Rhinelander Portrait Session}

The beautiful Ashley and I got together on a cool evening last week for a modeling portrait session…the park was quiet, the trees were just beginning to turn, and light was sublime.  Below are a few of my favorites from our session.  :)

Captivate

A couple of weeks ago I took a trip down to Merrill to take some pictures of my family friend, the ultra talented and beautiful Abby.  The evening light was perfect that night as it faded into darkness and despite the mosquito fiesta, we had a great time with our photo session.  I posted some of my favorites below…enjoy.

Music in the Night

My brother-in-law Kevin is a very talented musician, not to mention a funny, cool and all-around great guy.  AND he lets me practice my new photography ideas, which is awesome.  Check out some favorites from our recent session:

We also got to take some pictures during the day and I was able to use my new ultra-wide angle lens for a few of the shots.

Photo Shoot Fun Day!

On Tuesday I had the pleasure and privilege of being able to spend an afternoon taking pictures of some amazing people alongside some very talented photographers.  Becky Carpenter, a wedding and portrait photographer I really admire (plus a super fun person!), arranged this “Photo Shoot Fun Day” for local area photographers out at Holiday Acres.  Our models were awesome, the weather was perfect, and everyone had a wonderful time!  Below I posted some of my favorite shots from the day, and if you are interested in seeing more please check out my Facebook Page for the full set.

My favorite sister-in-law!

Not only did Maria and I have a chance to do an urban photoshoot over the weekend, but we also were able to find a beautiful clover and daisy field in full bloom…a perfect backdrop for a beautiful girl!  Below are a few of my favorites.

A Preview…

This past weekend I had the pleasure of going on a back alley photoshoot with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law.  We had a blast!  I was even approached by a local tattoo artist to take his picture with his hands on fire for his business card in exchange for a free tattoo or piercing.  I politely declined…    In any case, here are 2 shots to whet your appetite while I work through the rest of the set this week!
